'Amelie' director presiding over jury

PARIS -- French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet will preside over the feature films jury at the upcoming Deauville American Film Festival in September, organizers said Tuesday.

The director of "Amelie" and "A Very Long Engagement" has committed to the 10-day festival of U.S. cinema set to kick off Sept. 4 in the French seaside town. Jeunet's latest turn in the director's chair, "Micmacs a Tire-Larigot," will hit Gallic screens in October.
