NEW DELHI -- Cartoon Network Enterprises executive director India and South Asia Jiggy George will leave the company after eight years on July 31. Turner International India vice president, entertainment networks Monica Tata told THR that George “has decided to move on to pursue new opportunities.”

George spearheaded the licensing and merchandising division of Cartoon Network in India and in 2008, was given additional charge to establish a theatrical division with the intent to produce and market live action features.

Prior to Cartoon Network, George was with MTV India for four years as marketing manager.

As for who will take over George's position, Tata said that CNE “will continue its successful growth path under Jibi George, associate director, Cartoon Network Enterprises. Jibi is a veteran of Turner’s CNE business in India and has played a leading role in its expansion over the past several years.”
