The actor and comedian did not ID who the unflattering portrait is, but just wrote, "This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!"

Jim Carrey is under fire for his most recent painting, which appears to be of Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The actor and comedian did not ID the subject of the unflattering portrait, just writing, "This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!"

The father of the White House press secretary, Mike Huckabee, blasted Carrey for the art piece.

"Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & 'Christaphobe' @jimcarrey attacks @PressSec for her faith; what would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a 'so-called Muslim' or 'so-called Jew?' #classlessCarrey," the former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate tweeted

Others offended by the art criticized Carrey for shaming Sanders.

According to the AP, a rep for Carrey confirmed the piece is his work, but did not comment further.

It is unclear if the White House will comment on the matter.

Carrey followed up the controversial portrait on Monday with a new piece featuring Donald Trump as the Wicked Witch of the West, a play on the president calling Robert Mueller's ongoing Russian investigation a "witch hunt."

"If you liked my last cartoon you may also enjoy... THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST WING AND PUTIN’S FLYING MONKEYS," Carrey tweeted with the new piece.

On Monday night, Carrey gave a statement to The Young Turks concerning those with ire over the painting.

“I am so gratified by the reaction to my little drawings," Carrey said. "It is the job of a political cartoon to vex those who abuse power or enable those abuses."

He continued, "This administration has been lying to the American people from day one while plundering the country and debasing our values. And those who cover for this shameful mobster of a President are putting makeup on a melanoma and telling the cancer patient that everything’s fine. Monstrous? You bet!"
