NBC has premiered the first official promo for the 74th Golden Globes hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon, joined by Questlove of the Tonight Show house band, The Roots, announced his stint as host in festive holiday fashion.

"This is it, the big reveal," the late-night comic told Questlove with a bundle of electrical cords in his hand in a snow-filled driveway. "This is what I'm doing Jan. 8."

With an excited grin and the "Hallelujah Chorus" playing, Fallon gave power to a lavish lights display on his roof, spelling out "Golden Globes" in shimmering brilliance ... only to short out and display "Old Globs." Questlove shook his head and walked away, nonplussed.

The Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
