Joan Rivers' Funeral to Be Held Sunday
Rivers will reportedly get the Hollywood funeral that she wanted
Joan Rivers is getting the fabulous send-off she had been hoping for.
The funeral for Rivers, who died Thursday at age 81, will be held Sunday at Temple Emanu-El synagogue in New York City, NBC is reporting. Rivers' autopsy results were inconclusive, and the NYPD has told The Hollywood Reporter that they are investigating her death.
According to Us Weekly, funeral guests will be greeted by a red carpet that they will walk on as they make their way to the service. The red carpet will then be buried with the former Fashion Police star.
Numerous celebrities are said to be attending the funeral, although reportedly only certain ones will be asked to roll out the carpet.
In her 2012 book I Hate Everyone … Starting With Me, Rivers wrote that she wanted her funeral to be a glamorous and star-studded affair. "I want it to be Hollywood all the way," she wrote. "I want my funeral to be a huge showbiz affair with lights, cameras, action."
