John Krasinski in Talks to Join J.J. Abrams' Sci-Fi Thriller 'God Particle'

'The Office' alum will join David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the film.

John Krasinski is in early talks to join J.J. Abrams' sci-fi thriller God Particle.

Abrams will produce through his Bad Robot banner, while Julius Onah will shoulder directing duties.

Krasinski would be joining David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who are in talks for the project, which centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about reality and each other.

The Office alum will play one of the astronauts.

Krasinski was recently seen in Michael Bay's 13 Hours and starred in and directed the Sundance family dramedy The Hollars. Next, he will lend his voice to the animated feature Animal Crackers, along with Sylvester Stallone and wife Emily Blunt.
