John Legend to Perform Special Concert for Citi Credit Card Holders

Grammy winner will play L.A.’s Emerson Theater April 21 to benefit Teach for America.

John Legend is one busy dude.

The Grammy-winning performer will give a special performance at L.A.’s Emerson Theatre on April 21 with proceeds going to Teach for America.

The show will be exclusively for Citi ThankYou cardmembers, cementing the bank’s relationship with Legend after sponsoring his All of Me Tour and part of its Evenings with Legends in New York City in January.

Tickets to Legend's performance will be available for purchase with a Citi ThankYou credit card beginning Saturday at 10 am PT. The concert will help lead up to his performance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 18, being televised on ABC from the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"Performing in an intimate setting is special for both me and my fans," said John Legend. "I am glad to share in the celebration of my road to the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, and it will be a night to remember." 

"Whether he is performing solo at the piano or with a backing band, John Legend's shows are always extraordinary," said Citi entertainment svp Jennifer Breithaupt. "John's showmanship and the way he engages his audience at our events always leave our cardmembers wanting more."

Citi most recently hosted a special performance by Coldplay at Sony Pictures sound stages, and have previously offered cardmembers tickets to Lady Gaga, the Black Keys, John Mayer and Lady Antebellum, among others.
