John Legend Sets First-Ever Christmas Album and Tour

Columbia Records will release the festive collection on Oct. 26.

This holiday season is going to be a legendary one.

John Legend on Monday announced the release of his first-ever Christmas album, A Legendary Christmas, along with a 25-date holiday tour, which will kick off on Nov. 15.

The 14-track record includes eight classics like “Silver Bells” and “The Christmas Song,” as well as six original Christmas songs, including a duet with fellow Grammy winner Stevie Wonder.  

The singer-songwriter took to Instagram to announce the news, saying, “I just made a new Christmas album. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.”

Columbia Records will release the festive collection, which was executive produced by Raphael Saadiq, on Oct. 26. 

Legend recently joined the exclusive EGOT club when he received an Emmy for outstanding variety special (live) for his work as a producer on NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.

Tickets for the Legendary Christmas tour are set to go on sale Friday.
