John Oliver Shares His Absolute Hatred of Birds in 'Last Week Tonight' Online Segment
"I hope each and every one of you flies into a wind turbine on your way north next spring," the HBO host said of the winged creatures, whom he also called "disgusting sky mice."
John Oliver has strong feelings about birds and almost all of them are negative.
Oliver's Last Week Tonight was off again this week, but the host couldn't miss an opportunity to vent about winged creatures he calls "disgusting sky mice."
"As the weather cools down, birds are going to start their seasonal migration, which is of course when they travel to warmer climates in order to feed, grow and attract a mate," said Oliver in the online-only clip. "It's their version of Eat, Pray, Love, except birds are too dumb to realize that everything they needed was inside them the whole time."
He soon got to the point, telling birds: "F— you, I hope you never come back."
He then criticized multiple breeds of birds, saying ostriches can go "straight to hell." He added, "You look like a giant ball of lint trying to up-shit out a huge leathery snake." Hummingbirds were dubbed "obese bees in need of a nose job." Penguins were left deservedly unscathed.
"I hope all you disgusting sky mice enjoy your tropical getaways while the rest of us face the frigid torment of winter," said Oliver with disdain. "And I hope each and every one of you flies into a wind turbine on your way north next spring."
