Jon Stewart Crashes Jimmy Kimmel's Interview to Tease Young Fan
"Wouldn’t you rather idolize a talk-show host that is also circumcised?" Stewart asked the 13-year-old who based his bar mitzvah theme on Kimmel.
Jimmy Kimmel was flattered when a 13-year-old named Will Rubin from Media, Pennsylvania centered his bar mitzvah theme around Kimmel's eponymous ABC late-night show. Kimmel sent an ice sculpture of Guillermo, recorded a video message that was played at the Jimmy Kimmel Live bar mitzvah and, on Thursday, had a video call with Rubin to congratulate him.
As Kimmel and Rubin were speaking, Jon Stewart emerged from the back of the stage. "Hey, Jon," Rubin said as Stewart walked up.
Stewart jokingly expressed how offended he was that Rubin chose Kimmel to idolize instead of him. "You probably had your choice of idolizing any talk-show host, and you could have gone with a Jew," said Stewart.
While speaking with Rubin he turned to Kimmel and yelled, "Sheket bevakasha!" which means "Quiet, please," in Hebrew. Stewart asked Rubin if he understood his joke and added, "You know who didn't get that joke? Jimmy Kimmel. Because he's not a Jew!"
"Will, wouldn’t you rather idolize a talk-show host that is also circumcised?" Stewart asked Rubin as Kimmel laughed behind him.
