Joseph Gordon-Levitt DIY'd a Yoda Costume, and It's Awful

Green paint and a bathrobe, JGL has.

Last night's Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere was a parade of designer garb — from Daisy Ridley's sublime white Chloe number to Lupita Nyong'o's blindingly bright Alexandre Vauthier ensemble, it was all about standing out on a red carpet brimming with (movie) stars.

But Joseph Gordon-Levitt was having none of it. The actor arrived on the scene in a homemade Yoda costume — and it was simultaneously terrible and wonderful all at the same time.

Like a frat boy headed to a theme party, JGL appeared to have fashioned his costume out of the contents of his closet floor. A forest green beanie with mismatched paper ears was the only real indication that he was dressed as the iconic wise being rather than a hungover Shrek.

Poorly applied green paint, a hotel bathrobe, printed PJ pants (featuring the Grinch's face) and watermelon-printed Converse finished off the um, look.

Overall, we'd grade the ensemble an F. (The DGAF attitude, on the other hand, earns a well-deserved A+.)
