Josh Duggar's Sister Posts Bible Passage About Sin After He Admits Infidelity
Plus, the Duggar family pastor dedicated his sermon to adultery on Sunday.
Jessa Seewald, Josh Duggar's sister, shared a Bible verse about sin and forgiveness on Sunday, in the wake of Josh Duggar's revelation he cheated on his wife.
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us," reads the passage, which Jessa photographed and posted on Instagram. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Jessa has spoken about her brother in the past, when his sexual molestation allegations came to light.
"I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, some people are saying," Jessa told Megyn Kelly. "I’m like, that is so overboard and a lie really. I mean people get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this because I was one of the victims."
Jill Dillard is another one of Josh's sisters who he molested, and on Sunday she shared a livestream link to her church's service on social media. Pastor Ronnie Floyd, the pastor at Cross Church in Arkansas, gave a sermon about adultery.
"Adultery, being sexually or emotionally unfaithful to your spouse, that's wrong," said Floyd, according to People. "Some of you are on the other end of someone else destruction."
This sermon came just after Josh Duggar was implicated in the Ashley Madison hack and apologized publicly for cheating on his wife.
"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever," said Duggar. "While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the Internet and this became a secret addiction, and I became unfaithful to my wife."
