Joss Whedon's Super PAC Unveils New Anti-Trump Ad

The director's organization, Save the Day, targets the Republican nominee in a moving spot that shows how the Nov. 8 election results will potentially impact Hispanic-Americans.

Just two weeks ahead of Election Day, director Joss Whedon has released an emotionally charged political ad showing what a Donald Trump presidency may mean for Hispanic-Americans.

In the video spot titled "Verdict," released through Whedon's Save the Day organization, working parents, couples and friends gather around their TV sets as they await the poll results. Just as the news is about to be announced, a young girl tugs on her father's hand as she asks, "Papi, can we stay?"

The powerful two-minute video touches on how Hispanic families may potentially be impacted by Trump's anti-immigrant policy.

The Avengers helmer launched the pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC Save the Day back in September and donated $1 million toward helping Clinton beat Trump in the presidential election.

The organization has taken a measured approach, first encouraging voter registration, then voter turnout and finally voting down the ticket on all races, both national and local. Its initial launch was backed by a series of star-studded videos in which Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and other A-listers encouraged people to go out and vote.
