"As you could see, I was sweating. My armpits were going crazy," says the L.A.-based model.

Jud "Fabio" Birza was named the winner of Survivor: Nicaragua Sunday night, earning the $1 million prize.

"From how I felt down in Nicaragua, going through all the angles or whatever, I really thought I was going to win by a little more," Birza told the Associated Press after the finale. "It's all good, dude. I would rather it be super close. ... As you could see, I was sweating. My armpits were going crazy. I was nervous."

Birza, a 24-year-old model-student from L.A., beat out Fairview, N.C. native Chase Rice, 24, and New York City's Matthew "Sash" Lenahan, 30, by earning five out of nine votes from the jury.
