Judd Apatow: Bill Cosby Apologists Are Saying "Leave a Rapist Alone"

"Aren't we supposted to say we don't like this?"

Judd Apatow has been a very vocal critic of Bill Cosby in the wake of the multiple allegations Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted women. Seth Meyers asked Apatow about his criticisms, bringing up the people who question why Apatow is so against Cosby.

"Some people say, 'Why do you talk about it?'" says Apatow. "Which is kind of like saying 'Leave a rapist alone.' "

He adds, "Aren't we supposed to say we don't like this?"

Apatow then joked that the reason Cosby is doing a comedy tour is that he doesn't want to go home to his wife and explain the allegations against him.

In the past Apatow has referred to Cosby as a "monster" and compared him to Hitler. "I'm just sad he's not in jail," he once told reporters.

Black-ish creator Kenya Barris said Apatow's tweets bordered on "strangely obsessive" and seemed to give him "sick pleasure."
