Julianne Moore Reveals Jitters About Playing Sarah Palin
Of accepting the role, she says "I hung up the phone and went, 'What am I going to do?' "
Julianne Moore's portrayal of Sarah Palin in HBO's Game Change earned her an Emmy, but it wasn't without a little worry.
"I said yes before I even thought about it," recalled Moore. "And then I hung up the phone and went, 'What am I going to do?' Everyone knew her voice, everyone knew her mannerisms and she wouldn't go away! You know? She was very public."
Reese Witherspoon praised the performance as "brave."
"If anybody can jump fearlessly two feet into a cold pool, it's Julianne," Witherspoon said.
The actresses made their comments during The Hollywood Reporter actress roundtable, also featuring Patricia Arquette, Amy Adams, Hilary Swank, Laura Dern and Felicity Jones.
