Justin Timberlake kicked off Wednesday's 2018 Brit Awards with a smooth-flowing pair of songs from Man of the Woods, complete with a little help from album collaborator Chris Stapleton.

Timberlake started the show with “Midnight Summer Jam” -— a deep(er) cut from the recent album — with some customized Brit lyrics and some equally smooth dance moves. The performance transitioned into a Kanye West-esque opening to “Say Something,” with Timberlake hunched over a beat-making machine in dim lighting, until he was joined by country singer Stapleton. The pair stood side-by-side as they performed and were eventually joined by a full choir adorned in white, flooding the stage and audience, for the climax of the song and the end of the opening performance.

The quick-hitting opening was introduced by British comedian and show host Jack Whitehall, who swaggered onto the stage in a hilariously oversized parka after receiving some advice from none other than fake grime rapper Big Shaq, known for "Man's Not Hot."

The awards show, which is celebrating its 38th year at 02 arena in London, promises other performances from Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy and others.
