Ellen DeGeneres, Jessica Chastain and Elizabeth Banks were also among those who sent congratulatory tweets to 'The Revenant' star, who took home the best actor Oscar at Sunday night's Academy Awards.

Leonardo DiCaprio scored his first Oscar win at the 88th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night, and Hollywood was quick to congratulate him on the honor.

Kanye West, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Jessica Chastain, Elizabeth Banks, Ellen DeGeneres, Gina Rodriguez and Mia Farrow were among the stars who expressed their excitement on Twitter for DiCaprio, who finally won best actor after receiving his fifth nomination in the category for his grueling performance in The Revenant.

Banks called the actor a "class act," while West tweeted, "We're so so happy for Leo!!!"

His win also set fans into a frenzy, setting a Twitter record as the most-tweeted moment of an Oscar telecast ever with 440,000 tweets per minute.
