Kanye West Returns to Twitter With 10-Minute Rant Video About Mind Control
"I am not crazy. I can ramp up if I suffer from sleep deprivation," the rapper said Saturday. He then claimed to be "the best living recording artist."
Kanye West returned to Twitter on Saturday, and his first post was a nearly 10-minute video in which he ranted about mind control.
The rapper made recent headlines with his visit to the Oval Office to speak with President Donald Trump. West is a staunch, outspoken Trump supporter.
He abandoned all of his social media platforms last week after he was criticized for a rant he gave to the Saturday Night Live audience, off camera, when he was the musical guest for the season premiere.
"I just want to talk about mind control," West began in his return post. "You know, when people try to influence you through social media and try to tell you what to do, or if you post something that's, like, positive on Instagram, it gets taken down if it's not a part of a bigger agenda. That's, like, mind control. That's the echo chamber. That's trying to control you based off of incentivizing you and based off of you getting enough likes. That's the poison that's happening with social media."
West also talked about — in his opinion — his genius IQ and how he does not like to be told what to do.
"Imagine you, like, cut your skull open and somebody, like, touched your brain with their hand, how that would hurt you," the rapper said. "That's how it hurts me when people try to tell me what to do when I'm going from my heart."
Later in his rant, West said, "I am not crazy. I can ramp up if I suffer from sleep deprivation." He then claimed to be "the best living recording artist."
