Kanye West writes song for Taylor Swift

Apologizes again to country star for '09 VMA debacle

Through a torrent of tweets on Saturday, hip-hop artist Kanye West once again apologized to country star Taylor Swift for interrupting her acceptance speech at MTV's 2009 Video Music Awards, and said he had written her a song.

West wrote on his Twitter account, "I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."

He continued, "She deserves the apology more than anyone. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her. She's justa lil girl with dreams like the rest of us."

West took the microphone from Swift while she was accepting MTV's award for best female video last September, saying that Beyonce was a stronger contender in the category.

He wrote shortly after the incident, "I'm soooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would've said. She is very talented."

West's most recent tweets also touched upon his public perception as an "angry black man," his love for Twitter ("Thank you Biz Stone and Evan Williams for creating a platform where we can communicate directly), and the negative repercussions of his actions ("I bled hard...canceled tour with the number one pop star in the world...closed the doors of my clothing office.")
