Kate Hudson Venice Film Festival Red Carpet Split - P 2012

The star of Mira Nair's new movie "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" debuted two red carpet stunners by Atelier Versace and Gucci.

Kate Hudson just doesn't mess around on a red carpet. She might disappear from movies for a year or two for some new relationship, but when she returns - as she did at the Venice Film Festival for the opening night film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist -- she knows what to wear to wow a crowd and a flashbulb. More bombshell than fashion love, she really shines with that blonde blonde hair against pale colors.

With boyfriend Matt Bellamy in tow, Hudson did a daytime photo call for the movie in which she stars with Liev Schreiber, in a cream Gucci resort 2013 suit with an elongated double breasted wool jacket and slim flared trousers. It's the new shape of the female pantsuit, and with her long blonde locks flowing, it was a doozy. Most actresses wear colorful dresses for these photo calls and press conferences, but Hudson did two uniques: wearing white, and pants. FYI, this is a great new way to look dressed up this fall: menswear for women that fits a woman's curves. It almost looks sexier than a dress.

At night, Hudson went for her dependable Atelier Versace -- she wears a lot of Versace at night, and this was a particularly sizzing one -- gold and clingy, from the new fall 2012 Versace couture. We can imagine how many fittings this dress took! Her jewelry is also pretty remarkable -- all by Faberge, charmeuse earrings in yellow gold with 871 diamonds. The Faberge bracelet has 1948 white diamonds in it, and Faberge's Blanche ring is a white diamond to the tune of 4.83 carats. All that glitters is not gold -- it's diamonds.
