PARIS – Designer Karl Lagerfeld constructed a full-blown supermarket filled with Chanel-branded products -- from “Coco Flakes” to “Jambon Cambon” -- for his fall 2014 runway show at Paris’ Grand Palais. And, as usual, plenty of celebs joined in on the fun.

Rihanna -- whose song “Diamonds” opened the show -- cheered on her friend, model Cara Delevingne, then rolled the supermodel around in a primary-colored shopping cart after the show. And reality TV star Kendall Jenner, the breakout model of fashion month, joined Delevingne on the catwalk.

But longtime Lagerfeld muse Keira Knightley, who sat front row with husband James Righton, seemed most excited about the wacky set. “I can see a jambon hanging over somebody’s head,” she said, dressed in a black-and-white dress that whittled down her already teeny waist. “Unfortunately, I just ate breakfast.” As for the clothes? “They [represent] luxury and classic design, I think.”

Indeed, Lagerfeld turned out plenty of signature Chanel tweed jackets. But there were lots of novel takes, too, from colorful sneakers to a quilted handbag wrapped up in plastic like a chunk of ground beef from the meat department. We say Knightley should go for the fitted black blazer; Rihanna can take the leather chain-wrapped wire shopping basket.
