After kicking off the Grammys, Kendrick Lamar is releasing "Pray for Me" off his hotly anticipated 'Black Panther: The Album.'

Kendrick Lamar has shared a new song with The Weeknd from Black Panther: The Album.

Titled “Pray for Me,” the track has a dark, noisy beat drenched in The Weeknd’s effervescent vocals. Kendrick’s verse comes in as viciously as ever, as swelling synth pads seep over into the chorus.

Black Panther: The Album is inspired by the Marvel movie due out Feb. 16. The album is out a week earlier, on Feb. 9.

Kendrick exec produced the album alongside Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and recruited an all-star lineup for the project, including 2 Chainz, Khalid, Swae Lee, Jorja Smith and Travis Scott.

The release comes after Lamar’s five wins at the 2018 Grammy Awards, including for best rap album, rap performance, rap song, music video and best rap/sung performance. The Weeknd also became the only artist to win best urban contemporary album twice.
