The new flick by cult director Gregg Araki is part of the label's fall/winter 2015 campaign.

Paris Couture is seeing more than just clothes debut — over the weekend Kenzo revealed Here Now, a new short film that creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim commissioned from indie film director Gregg Araki.

As Paris melted under unheard-of summer temps that topped 105 (in a city with no AC), Kenzo kept it cool with a chic picnic in the city’s posh 16th arrondissement and set up an open-air theater for the premiere.

Rufus WainwrightBrady CorbetWoodkid, French star Stefi Celma, and stylist Lotta Volkova were among the fashionistas that came out to fete the film.

With an outdoor screen and low-key vibe, a taco truck didn't seem out of place in the garden next to the new Fondation Louis  Vuitton. In a nod to the Fourth of July, American potato salad was served, but in true French style, guests sipped  Vueve Cliquot  instead of Bud.

Araki is best known for his cult-favorite teen apocalypse trilogy from the ‘90s and his iconic film Nowhere, which starred the then-unknown Ryan Phillippe and Heather Graham in 1997. This follow-up for Kenzo is considered a sequel to that and features both the label’s bold, colorful fashion and a young cast of up-and-comers. Araki's most recent film is White Bird in a Blizzard, starring Shailene Woodley just before she shot the Divergent films. To say he's good at discovering talent is an understatement.

Fans of Suburgatory will recognize Jane Levy, and likewise for Glee’s Jacob Artist, while moviegoers might soon see Avan Jogia (alongside James Franco and Ben Kingsley) and Jake Weary (in A Deadly Adoption with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell). For fans of Kenzo, though, think of this as five-and-a-half vibrant minutes of pure eye candy — which is happily a bit longer than a typical runway show.
