'True Memoirs of an International Assassin' Trailer: Kevin James is Supercharged as a Reluctant Action Hero

The action comedy follows the global exploits of an author turned killer-for-hire after his best-selling novel is mistakenly published as a true story.

Kevin James is joining the Netflix lineup of original films with The True Memoirs of an International Assassin, an action comedy with an unexpected hero at the center of well-primed chaos.

The film, directed by Jeff Wadlow, centers on Sam Larson (James), a wannabe author with a mellow temperament whose novel about an international assassin suddenly becomes a major hit. The overwhelming success takes a dangerous turn when the book is mistakenly published as a factual story, and fiction becomes a real-life adventure that involves a kidnapping, global pursuits and an assassination plot.

The trailer showcases the unwilling hero at the center of the action as he tries to battle his way through the maze of the chapters that are threatening his survival.

The cast also includes Andy Garcia, Zulay Henao, Maurice Compte, Kelen Coleman, Yul Vazquez and Kim Coates.

The film premieres Nov. 11 on Netflix.
