Watch Key and Peele, 2 Chainz Perform as Wedding Bandmates
"What we do is take popular songs and tailor-make them to your wedding so they can only be performed for your wedding," says Keegan-Michael Key in the video.
Comedy Central's Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key are now in the wedding performing business, alongside rapper 2 Chainz.
In a new sketch video, the comedians play bandmates who perform popular tailor-made songs at weddings in the Scottsdale, Arizona area. "What we do is take popular songs and tailor-make them to your wedding so they can only be performed for your wedding," Key says in the video.
Tailored songs showcased in the comedic short video include John Mellencamp's "Jack & Diane," Ram Jam's "Black Betty" and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Same Love."
"What makes [the band] Absorption so attractive is that people know the song, but they don't know what we're going to do with it," Peele explains. "Absorption is a supergroup of the best wedding band musicians of all time."
For an increased price, a deluxe package is available, which features 2 Chainz, who Key helms as "master collaborator" and "one of the great wedding performers of all time." The rapper charges $75 for every 30 minutes: "you do the math on that," the rapper tells viewers in the spoof.
