KI finds Canada via Equinoxe

Equinoxe Films has signed an exclusive two-year pact with Kimmel International to distribute all KI films, including Sidney Kimmel Entertainment productions, throughout Canada.

Under terms of the agreement negotiated by KI president Mark Lindsay and executive vp business affairs Jill Silfen with Equinoxe vp distribution Marie-Claude Poulin, Equinoxe will handle distribution of English and French-language productions in all media.

Upcoming films to be included in the pact are the romantic comedy "Management," starring Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn; the drama "All God's Children Can Dance," starring Joan Chen; and the comedy "Ye Olde Times," starring Cary Elwes, Matthew Lillard and Jack Black.

In September, Equinoxe acquired three SKE films for Canadian distribution: "Lars and the Real Girl," starring Ryan Gosling; "Married Life," starring Pierce Brosnan; and "Charlie Bartlett," starring Hope Davis.

KI was founded in 2005 as an international film sales company and oversees the licensing, marketing and distribution of SKE features.
