"Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best," the actor's rep said following Prinze's claims that "Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world."

Kiefer Sutherland has responded to comments made by Freddie Prinze Jr. about his unpleasant experience on Fox's 24.

"I did 24, and it was terrible. I hated every moment of it," Prinze had said. "Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash. I'd say it to his face. I think everyone that's worked with him has said that."

The 24 gig, Prinze said, made him want "to quit the business."

Sutherland, who made an appearance at San Diego's Comic-Con for 24 (as did Prinze, for Disney's Star Wars Rebels), issued a response through his rep hours after Prinze's statements went public.

"Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie‘s grievances,” Sutherland's rep said in a statement Tuesday morning to The Hollywood Reporter. “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.”

Prinze played CTU director of operations Cole Ortiz during the eighth season of 24's original run. 24 was revived by Fox for the 12-episode 24: Live Another Day, which finished its run July 14.
