Kim heading int'l business at CJ Ent.

SEOUL -- Kathy Kim is the new head of international business and worldwide distribution at CJ Entertainment, South Korea's largest movie studio, the company said Thursday.

Effective immediately, Kim will oversee CJ's international sales and strategy while continuing to manage the distribution of domestic and foreign titles in Korea.

Before CJ, Kim was managing director of Art Service, a Seoul-based set production company, a senior executive at Sony Pictures Korea, and chief editor and producer at WNYE-TV, a PBS affiliate in New York.

Kim takes over for David Shin, who had joined the company in January. Shin is leaving to start his own movie production house, Millex Pictures. Based in Singapore, Millex has a first-look deal with CJ. Shin is represented by Brant Rose Agency in Los Angeles.

On the domestic front, Joon H. Choi, who has headed up investment and production of domestic films, is now responsible for investment, production and marketing and PR for domestic films.
