A spokesperson confirms that Kardashian sent a letter and made a donation to the Dream Foundation, adding that “she’s worked with the charity for a number of years.” The Santa Barbara, Calif.-based organization grants final wishes or “dreams from the heart” to adults with “life-limiting” diseases, according to its website.

“It has taken some time to pull everything together,” Kardashian writes to guests in a letter obtained by TMZ. “But I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation: An organization that I am very passionate about.”

According to the site’s source, the reality star and burgeoning actress estimates the value of her wedding gifts at $100,000 -- but she doubled the amount in her donation to the charity.

"As a longtime supporter of Dream Foundation, it was no surprise to us that Kim would find a way to take a difficult time in her life and use it to make a positive impact on others," a Dream Foundation spokesperson tells THR in a statement.

"While the situation behind her generous donation (which represents the symbolic value of the gifts she received) is unfortunate," the statement continues. "We're grateful for the support this lends to our ongoing mission to care for families battling terminal illness. Kim has a long history of giving to Dream Foundation with her time, financial contributions and simply holding the hands of dreamers facing a terminal illness.  We are thankful to have Kim as a part of our service."

Humphries’ spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to THR’s request for a statement.

Kardashian and Humphries married in a lavish August wedding that aired as a two-part special on E! Kardashian announced that she was filing for divorce after only 72 days on Oct. 31. Subsequently, the dissolution of the marriage was captured by E!’s cameras for the reality series, Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

Kardashian is shooting a recurring role on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva in Peachtree City, Ga.
