It's not "Elle V."

It's Chicago West.

By "it" we mean the name for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby daughter, who was born in the wee hours of the morning on Monday via a gestational carrier. The reality star announced the name of their third child on her website on Friday, with a simple post reading, "Chicago West," along with her birth date and weight (7lbs, 6oz). She joins big sister North, 4, and brother Saint, 2.

Though no explanation regarding the significance of the name was given, it's probably safe to assume that little Chicago was named after Kanye's hometown. (As Frank Sinatra crooned, "My kind of town, Chicago is...") In a tweet posted shortly following the announcement, proud aunt Khloe Kardashian noted that the family plans to call the baby "Chi" (pronounced "Shy," as she noted) for short.

Kimye's loyal fans have been waiting with bated breath for the name reveal, dissecting every social media post with CIA-like scrutiny.

After Kardashian posted an Instagram of Louis Vuitton's LV monogram on Wednesday evening, Twitter worked itself up into a tizzy attempting to decode whether or not the tweet was teasing the baby girl's name, which many guessed would be "Elvie" or "Elle V." However, Kardashian later laughed off the guesses, telling followers that the photo was in honor of menswear designer Kim Jones' final collection for the French fashion house, which was presented Thursday.
