Kim Kardashian will not be visiting India this weekend to appear on the Indian version of Big Brother. According to a report, Reuters quoted unnamed sources stating that Kardashian's visit has been canceled because of a “visa issue.”

Without giving more details, Kardashian posted a message on Twitter stating, “To all my wonderful fans in India, I'm so disappointed I wasn't able to come to India as planned. When the opportunity presented itself to make the trip, there was a short window to coordinate all the elements necessary to make it happen. Unfortunately, time ran out so the trip has been canceled. I look forward to rescheduling and meeting everyone soon!”

On what was to be her first visit to India, Kardashian was set to land in Mumbai, arriving from Australia, the latest stop on her tour to promote her new fragrance. She was to make an appearance on Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, on Saturday. The show airs on Viacom's India joint venture channel Colors. Produced by Endemol India, the show is hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan and is now in its eighth season.
Bigg Boss has seen international guest celebrities in the past, most notably former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who appeared on the show in 2010 wearing a designer sari.
