Kim Kardashian has announced that she will donate all her wedding gifts (worth several million) to charity (for a nice tax deduction). But she hasn't declared what she'll do with her $2 million engagement ring.

Kim Kardashian announced on her blog this week that she would donate all the money, reportedly several million, from her wedding gifts to the non-profit Dream Foundation. But strangely she made no mention of what she planned on doing with that dazzling diamond engagement ring that Kris Humphries gave his soon-to-be-ex-wife.

Andrew Streyer, a jewelry appraiser and gemologist says the 16-carat-rumored ring by Lorraine Schwartz is probably actually worth around $3 million, even though Humphries repotedly only paid $2 million due to the celebrity factor. And given the state of the diamond market and the spiraling economy, Kim will be lucky to get $1 million for it.

Kim's mom Kris Kardashian has given her daughter advice on the controversial ring: Keep It! This week she told Good Morning America (she was on the show promoting her new tell-all book about -- take a wild guess -- her family and how they made $65 million last year -- that Kim should keep the ring because to give it back is bad form. "It's a gift. Keep your gift," she said. "I hate an 'Indian giver."

Traditionally, the wife keeps the engagement ring. But in the case of a very short union -- like say 72 measly days -- the bride returns the engagement ring to her groom because it was purchased with his money. But Daniel Post Senning, the great-great grandson of etiquette expert Emily Post has told reporters: “It’d be the classy thing to return it, but she wouldn’t be out of form not (giving it back).

The New York Post initially reported that Humphies had asked for the ring back. But at last report, Humphries's camp has said that he is not planning on asking for the ring back because it was given to Kardashian "out of love."
