Kindler takes new ad reins at SCEA


Looking to create additional revenue streams, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced the formation of a new in-game advertising unit to be headed by former Nintendo and Adscape Media executive Darlene Kindler.

The move follows an announcement this summer that SCEA would partner with Nielsen Media Research to develop measurement systems for in-game advertising for the PlayStation 3 as well as the online PlayStation Network.

"Darlene has an ideal blend of experience within the video game industry, including in-game advertising, making her a perfect fit for this newly created position," Phil Rosenberg, senior VP for SCEA's sales and business development, said in a statement.
