Kings of Leon going on tour

Dates begin as new album released

NEW YORK -- Kings of Leon will embark on a North American tour Sept. 23 in New York, the same day its new RCA album, "Only By the Night," is released.

The Stills, the Whigs and We Are Scientists will all support on different parts of the tour, which will wrap Nov. 19 with a hometown gig at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Beforehand, this coming Saturday, the band will perform at the All Points West Festival in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, the new album's first single, "Sex on Fire," premiered Tuesday on MySpace and the band's Web site. A video is being shot in Los Angeles this week with director Sophie Muller.

In addition, beginning Sept. 1, behind-the-scenes home movies chronicling the making of "Only by the Night" will begin airing on and the band's MySpace page.
