The former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant ultimately arrived by car with Nicole Scherzinger.

Kirstie Alley stepped out on Sunday at a 9/11 memorial service with fellow Dancing With the Stars alum Nicole Scherzinger, but the duo’s low-key arrival may not have been Alley’s first choice.

A new report from the New York Post suggests that Alley upset organizers of the Long Island Remembers 10th anniversary tribute, when she demanded a helicopter landing on the Bethpage State Park polo grounds.

“She had a list of demands that she wanted met before she made the appearance,” said event organizer Leslie Gonzalez, of Carlyle on the Green. “She almost canceled the appearance because she couldn’t get a helicopter.”

“We couldn’t believe it,” added another restaurant rep. “It’s a memorial service, not a party.”

Alley’s alleged demands were unable to be met due to airspace restrictions set for Sept. 11.  She instead arrived to the event by SUV, along with Scherzinger.

“Kirstie was coming from Pennsylvania that morning, and was simply exploring all options of transportation, from Amtrak to helicopter, in order to ensure she made it on time to respect those being remembered. At no point was a demand made,” a rep for the actress said. “Further, at no point did she consider cancelling the appearance and was happy to honor the firefighters, police officers and emergency services personnel in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.”

Alley was partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy for the 12th season of Dancing With the Stars. They finished out the competition as the runner-ups to Hines Ward and Kym Johnson
