Klocker makes move to Senator

COLOGNE, Germany -- Marc Klocker, head of marketing at Berlin-based distributor X Verleih, has moved across town to competitor Senator Film, joining his former X Verleih colleague Anatol Nitschke.

Nitschke moved to Senator in February, adding heft to the veteran German film group that emerged from bankruptcy protection only last year.

Nitchke and Klocker were behind the successful X Verleih campaigns for films including mega-success "Good bye, Lenin!" and Jewish-German comedy "Going for Zucker," both of which won the German film award, the Lola, for best film.

Klocker worked for Senator Film from 1994-2000 before switching to X Verleih.

As head of marketing at Senator, Klocker will manage the campaigns for in-house titles including the upcoming comedy "Vollidiot" as well as such licensed titles as the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez double bill "Grindhouse."
