Kovert Creative Adds Pair to PR Ranks
The company run by Joseph Assad and Lewis Kay is expanding its film & TV and branding reach.
Kovert Creative, the bicoastal entertainment and marketing agency run by Joseph Assad and Lewis Kay, has hired David Hail and Amanda Dykema as it expands its reach in film and television as well as personal branding.
Hail will bring up the film and television side, and will work on the launch of Steve Harvey’s new daytime talk show, Steve.
Hail is joining after a 10-year stint at DreamWorks Animation where he worked on awards and publicity campaigns for the Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon series as well as the recent hit Boss Baby.
Hail will be counted on to offer up his vast expertise on animated and visual-effects-driven feature film projects for both release and awards campaigns.
“Having recently worked with David on Kung Fu Panda 3, I can honestly say that no one has done a better job bridging the gap between talent and the studio,” said Kay. “We all know the effort that Jeffrey Katzenberg demands when opening a film, and David did a fantastic job in that role for a decade.”
Dykema, who joins the agency at the end of July, is coming in from ID PR. She also worked at CAA and Ford Models.
Said Kay, “With Amanda’s fashion and talent representation background, we are now better positioned to service a broader range of talent clients.”
