A timeless color, if you ask us.

Many a celebrity bride go full princess for their wedding look, wearing over-the-top, voluptuous ball gowns with trains that require their own team to assist the bride down the aisle. But not Kristen Bell.

The Veronica Mars actress, who married Dax Shepard in 2013, kept her ensemble sweet and simple for her Beverly Hills courthouse nuptials, pairing a short-sleeve top with trousers and a bold silver statement necklace. Oh, and did we mention that the look was head-to-toe black?

The unconventional color may be unusual for a typical blushing bride, but Hollywood has had its fair share of wedding gowns that stray from ivory. Jessica Biel tied the knot with Justin Timberlake in a pink Giambattista Valli gown and Shenae Grimes opted for black for her wedding to Josh Beech.

In an interview with CBS ahead of her upcoming flick, Bad Moms, Bell opened up about the private affair, sharing a photo from the event for the first time ever. "We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse and it was still one of the best days of my life," she said, adding that her family is the most important factor in her life.
