Mother Monster's longtime stylist went all-out with an Old Hollywood-inspired look.

Lady Gaga, who is set to make her major television acting debut Oct. 7 in season five of FX's American Horror Story: Hotel, rubbed shoulders with her fellow thespians Sunday night in a floor-length gown from her stylist Brandon Maxwell's debut collection, and elegant Old Hollywood-inspired hair to match.

Frederic Aspiras, Haus of Gaga's wigmaker and hairstylist, coiffed Gaga for the night, conjuring a "Grace Kelly, modern-inspired look" for his client, with whom he has worked since 2009. "I wanted something touchable and soft, and pushed back away from her face," he said. "I wanted to emphasize her facial structure and her dress."

After cutting her hair this morning, Aspiras combed Matrix Style Link Volume Builder Volume Mousse ($18) through Gaga's hair, followed by Matrix Style Link Smooth Setter Smoothing Cream ($18) and a small amount of Matrix Style Link Gloss Booster ($20) from the middle through the ends of Gaga's hair. This was followed by touch spray of Matrix Style Link Turbo Dryer Blow Dry Spray ($18) "to speed up the drying process and tame frizz and flyaways," he says.

Aspiras then blow-dried hair under in sections with a two-inch round titanium brush, creating "waves and shapes" with Matrix Style Link Shape Switcher Molding Paste ($18), which also set shair in place. To finish off the look (and to protect it from the intense heat on the red carpet), Aspiras turned to Matrix Style Link Texture Builder Messy Finish Spray ($18).
