'Lady Macbeth' Director William Oldroyd to Helm 'Body Cross'

The Focus Feature title follows two immigrant brothers living in London.

William Oldroyd, the director behind TIFF standout Lady Macbeth, has found his next project.

Oldroyd will direct mafia story Body Cross for Focus Features. The story follows two immigrant brothers living in London, where a Russian agent has risen to become a mafia boss’ trusted lieutenant and is soon instructed to assassinate one of his fellow countrymen.

Eastern Promises writer Steven Knight penned the feature, which is being produced by Paul Webster.

Oldroyd, who was nominated for a DGA for outstanding directorial achievement for a first-time director, is repped by WME and the U.K.'s United.
