LAPD Investigating Shooting Outside Paramount Studios

Two people were shot and the suspect fled the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting outside Paramount Studios in Hollywood, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. 

Two people were shot by a suspect who fled the scene by car before police arrived in an incident that "appears to be gang related," Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD told THR.

The shooting occurred at 8:10 p.m. Monday night near Van Ness Ave. and Lemon Grove Ave. around the block from the iconic Paramount Studios gates on Melrose Ave.

Both victims — one a teenager shot in the arm and the other an adult male shot in the stomach — have been hospitalized and are currently in stable condition.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to police. No further details were disclosed.
