Netflix has gathered Chevy Chase, Richard Dreyfuss, Andie MacDowell, Lewis Black, Kate Micucci and Chris Parnell for its feature comedy The Last Laugh, written and directed by Greg Pritikin. Rob Paris of Paris Film, Inc. is producing. Production starts this week in New Orleans.

The Last Laugh centers on talent manager and widower Al Hart who reunites with his former client Buddy Green after 50 years. Though Buddy gave up a promising career as a stand-up comedian to settle down and have a family, Al convinces him to perform on a bucket list tour of classic stand-up venues across America, giving Buddy a last taste of the life he could have had.

The deal with Netflix Originals was brokered by ICM Independent.

Chase can next be seen in Frank Peluso’s comedy The Ogilvy Fortune and Federal Offense, both in preproduction. He is represented by APA and LINK Entertainment.

Dreyfuss' upcoming projects also include Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Louisiana Caviar, Joel David Moore’s Killing Winston Jones, Bill Holderman’s comedy Book Club and Nate & Al from writer Noah Taft. He is represented by APA.

MacDowell most recently starred in Russel Harbaugh’s Love After Love, and appears next in Joseph Kosinski’s firefighter drama Only the Brave and Rebecca Addelman's drama Paper Year. She is represented by Gersh and Atlas Artists.

Black is represented by APA. Micucci is represented by WME and Management Production Entertainment. Parnell is represented by UTA and Rise Management. Pritikin is represented by MGMT Entertainment and ICM.
