Lauren Marani tapped as THR ad exec

Will be responsible for indie film arena on all platforms

Lauren Marani has been named account executive, independent film at The Hollywood Reporter, effective Monday.

Marani will be responsible for advertising sales across all platforms, with an emphasis on the burgeoning digital market. She will represent Nielsen's Entertainment Group (The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Back Stage, Adweek, Brandweek, Mediaweek) in the indie filmmaking sector, which includes production, finance, sales and distribution companies.

Marani replaces Andrew Goldstein, who is moving to Technicolor. She will report to vp and associate publisher Rose Einstein.

"It's always a pleasure to be able to acknowledge and promote from within," Einstein said.
