Laurine Garaude upped at Reed MIDEM

Named TV division director at exhibitions company

PARIS -- Reed MIDEM's small screen division had big news Thursday as the international exhibitions company named Laurine Garaude television division director, effective immediately.

Garaude will directly manage Reed MIDEM's TV and digital content events including MIPTV, MIPDOC, MIPCOM and MIPJunior.

Garaude, a Yale graduate who worked in the music and publishing industries in the U.S. before coming to France, has been with Reed MIDEM since 1993 when she launched interactive content market MILIA.

Garaude led that market for 10 years before MILIA and MIPTV fused and she was named director of customer relationship marketing and product development in 2004 before tentatively serving as acting director of the television division since last January.

Garaude "understands how the entertainment industry is evolving and how our shows and services must continue to evolve to benefit our clients," Reed MIDEM chief executive Paul Zilk said.
