WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - FEBRUARY 27:  Actress Leah Remini arrives at the 19th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscar viewing party held at the Pacific Design Center on February 27, 2011 in West Hollywood, California.

The actress writes, "I am sorry to say I have NOT been asked back on the show."

The Talk shakeup continues as Leah Remini has confirmed that she will not be returning to the CBS morning gabber this fall.

Remini tweeted Thursday, "It is official, I am sorry to say I have NOT been asked back on the show. Sorry to my fans. U worked so hard! I adore u guys."

In other messages, the former King of Queens star thanked friends and co-workers and gave a special note to Talk co-host Holly Robinson Peete, "@hollyrpeete Holly. I Love. You. I have LOVED working with you. You are the real deal! Blessed to know u!"

As with Remini, reports surfaced last week that Peete was on her way off the program. Peete said Friday via Twitter that her fate on the show had not yet been sealed, "Just overwhelmed by The Talk support. Love you guys. Still under contract but have not been picked up yet."

News of their likely departure came as the View rival is looking to tweak an already successful formula as the show kicks off season two on Sept. 6, according to a source close to production. The morning chatfest, which underwent a game of musical chairs at the producer level this past spring, lured 2.2 million viewers in July, its highest rated month since The Talk's fall 2010 launch.

Meanwhile, Keeping Up With the Kardashians mom Kris Jenner and comedienne Sheryl Underwood have joined The Talk as guest host and co-host, respectively. Jenner has been slated to guest host for two weeks early in the upcoming second season while Underwood will join as co-host.

Jenner is being eyed as a potential fill-in host for Sharon Osbourne on days she is unavailable. Osbourne announced in July that she’d be taking a break from The Talk to spend more time with her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, who will be wrapping up an 18-month-long tour.

Underwood, who hosted BET’s Comic View and is a regular on-air personality on the syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, will start the season as a co-host with an option to become a regular host on the series should her chemistry gel with Sara Gilbert and Julie Chen.
