Lehman exits MTV for IAC

A top executive in the ranks of MTV Networks' digital team is leaving to take a key post at Barry Diller's IAC/ InterActiveCorp.

Nicholas Lehman, executive vp and general manager of MTVN Games and Interactive Media Group, joins IAC as COO of its programming unit, the company is expected to announce this week. Diller has indicated he is intent on making a push into online video, and he already installed former Universal Television Group chairman Michael Jackson as president of programming. Lehman reports to Jackson.

Lehman's departure was first reported on the blog Paidcontent.org.

An MTVN veteran, Lehman was promoted in January as part of a restructuring of MTVN's global digital-media management team. Previously, Lehman briefly ran all of MTVN's digital efforts when he was named interim head of the unit when Jason Hirschhorn, chief digital officer, stepped down in May 2006.

In recent years, IAC has moved to add or develop content sites for its massive portfolios of Web properties, including the comedy site CollegeHumor.com.
