Leigh Collier Named VP Programming and Development at CBS Television Distribution

Collier, a former Telepictures executive, is Aaron Meyerson's first hire since being named president of programming and development in January.

Marking his first hire since becoming president of programming and development at CBS TV Distribution, Aaron Meyerson has tapped Leigh Collier as vp programming and development.

Collier spent the past three years as director of programming at Telepictures, where she worked on TMZ, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Judge Mathis and The People’s Court.

At CTD, Collier, who will be based in Los Angeles, will develop new original programming and manage current first-run strips.

“We are increasing our development activity at CTD, so I was looking to add someone to our team who could develop both talent driven and format driven shows,” said Meyerson, who was named to his post in January. “Having worked in both syndication and cable, Leigh has shepherded successful shows in numerous genres. She’s a perfect fit.”

Collier also has worked at Comedy Central and Universal Television Group.
