Lenny Bart joins Debmar-Mercury

Syndie veteran will oversee company's operations

Lenny Bart has been tapped to the post of executive vp and general manager of Debmar-Mercury and will report to co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein.

In his newly created role, Bart will oversee all operational aspects of the syndication company, identifying strategic and operating opportunities while managing costs and domestic and international operations.

During a career spanning 22 years at Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution, Bart was responsible for the syndie division's spot business, building business plans, recommending syndicated program acquisitions and forecasting revenue.

Debmar-Mercury, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lionsgate, produces and distributes "The Wendy Williams Show" and distributes Tyler Perry properties, "Family Feud" and "South Park."

On Tuesday, Debmar-Mercury announced that Jason Gabel and Suzanne Bass have been installed as supervising producers of "Williams" and that Deb Miller will return as director after serving in that capacity during the show's six-week preview last summer.
