Leonardo DiCaprio set for online casino pic

Paramount picks up pitch from Koppelman, Levien

Paramount has picked up an untitled pitch from Brian Koppelman and David Levien that takes place in the world of Costa Rica-based online casinos.

Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to star, and his Appian Way cohort Jennifer Davisson Killoran is producing.

Koppelman and Levien, who wrote "Ocean's Thirteen," covered similar ground with their debut script for "Rounders," which starred Edward Norton and Matt Damon as high-stakes players in the underground poker scene. The writers, Davisson Killoran and DiCaprio are also teaming on "Beat the Reaper," an adaptation of the Josh Bazell novel that is set up at New Regency.

Koppelman and Levien, who are repped by CAA and 3 Arts Entertainment, most recently penned Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience." They are in production on "Solitary Man," which they co-directed and which Koppelman wrote, for Millennium Films. They also are repped by attorney Karl Austen.

DiCaprio, who most recently starred in "Revolutionary Road," is repped by Rick Yorn and attorney Steve Warren, who also rep Appian. The actor next stars in the Martin Scorsese-directed thriller "Shutter Island," which Paramount will release in October.
